don raphaels race.
sometimes i think they would be better off posting cheques out to the nominated connections and move on to the next race.
it would save time and get a dud race off the program.
surely there are some stayers out there somewhere.
imagine what the metropolitan is going to be like.
time the metrop was downgraded to a listed race.

Hear! Hear!! My sentiments exactly. The TATTERSALL'S PLATE on Saturday was such a crap field for a listed race, I publicly tipped Ears Ronny ops:

(which managed 2nd anyway)

only a desperate would back ears' ronny as much as i loved the horse.
his best days were over 4 years ago.
they even said on saturday he is up for sale.
at 10 years of age and very infrequent wins i hate to think who the buyer might be.
oh brother.

actually i think Ears Ronny could win a few races up north but i'm guessing they would put to much weight on him...
Didnt Persian Punch keep on keeping on at about 13 ?? or something..

Was 11YO when he died of a suspected heart attack during a race April this year.

We can't complain, just look at our Perth Cup field each year.....then again Brisbane's Cups are not that much better.
