This was my bet of the day, i was all set to take the $2 or $2.50 it looked a good thing at Doomben. Stupid me didn't even look at the gold coast form when i saw the horse was scratched from Doomben i thought oh ******** what now. Sitting in a bar at Flemington and saw the jump of the Gold Coast race, heard his name was shocked and of course he won and paid $7.50, i felt sick. Surely the Winning Post or Sun could have specified that it was also nominated at the Gold Coast.

If I had known your problem I could have helped. The trainer was on the radio up here early on Friday morning saying that he was going to be scratched from Brisbane to run at the Gold Coast and he was reasonably confident he would win too.

dont usually follow gold coast either on saturday but sky was talking about doing the viewing for the bigger races.
so downloaded late.
picardi run was set good barrier good form down in weight.
was backed in late in betting. larry olsen was throwing it out on tv.

bad luck but there will be other races.

in perth cup bad barrier probably cost free at last inside barriers finished 1 3 4 5
quality of free at last carried her so close.
