Don't know what it is about her but i just don't like her....i think it is more the people that work for her than her that is a good trainer...put her in another stable and she would flop

Shaun, you could be right mate, but you gotta hand it to her, she knows WHO to employ!! so its still her success.
I think it was Len Handcock who said, "I can buy the best brains in the country , for a handful of pennies"

tricky discussion- my only real issue with this great trainer is she is married to a bookmaker which worries me.
but apart from this i think she is great for racing and is a great ambassador for the industry.
and obviously has the trust and confidence of many good investing owners.

Cool

I was anti Gai Waterhouse, with a triple consiracy theory re the bookmaker connections until I ready Her biography " Against All Odds" by Kevin Perkins
It's a no holds barred insight into a person who,if she was only as tough as 99.9% of the rest of us, would have given up the game, and gone off to be a wealthy little daddy's girl, instead of staying involved in the DIRTY(in most aspects of racing) game she's stuck with.
Don't for one minute believe that by sitting their, tapping away with your keyboards that your latest betting system and strategy won't be wiped out by a simple non-educated stable hand who takes $200 from somebody to slip a bit of Bicarb into the feed mix of the best bet of the day.
