Looks a race in two for the winner Alinghi, Spark of Life, but General Bayton may well be a forgotten horse in the equation. Flies down the straight and loves the wet, totally unsuited by the WFA scale but i can definately see him filling a place.

Alinghi and spark of life definitely both huge chances, but I cannot see how fastnet rock is not entering the conversation, is it scratched?? If it handles the wet, it's well and truly up to it. They consider it like they considered Choisir, and it won two races at Royal Ascot. Also, don't leave out Tahni Girl. Flies down the straight, first up, and in the wet, but unlike General Bayton will be suited by the WFA scale.

Fastnet Rock is very, very good, but he didn't beat much in them races last spring, Brannigan won well the next start but beat Dandy Kid at WFA. He still has to perform like that at the elite level, and i am in no way saying he cant.

As much as I like Fastnet Rock the heavy rain has detracted a little for me so right now I like Lilando mainly for the value he is offering at current. I know he hasn't perfomred in this class yet he did run 4th to Takeover Target but it was nearly 5 lengths away I just feel he is good enough to give a real site in this.
