can anyone tell me how this race can be labelled a group 1, equal status of a cox plate!!!??? surely a chipping norton stakes shouldn't carry the same status of the greatest races we have got. just seems wrong to me.
this is where the arguments start in comparing horses i think, like lonhro is better than northerly because he won 11 group 1's. which sounds good..... but when you look at the facts, a chipping norton is not back-to-back cox plates, 2 australia cups and a caulfield cup. ok i have that off my chest now. sorry to sound like i'm complaining.....call it a fude between me and a few mates (lonhro admirers) gets my blood boiling! |
