Some of these horses could be value on Saturday:

R5/6 Troubles
R6/8 Sheik Your Money

Lay of the Day:

This horse is no value at the odds quoted in the Sportsman.

Good luck.

Again Troubles won and paid $5.00 a win, however, so did your lay bet Consular and paid $4.20.

You sure are close to the mark congrats!

Even if we follow your lay bets we win.

cheers.

EI may I suggest you go back over past postings. You will see a very high strike rate of lay bets losing, many at short odds. The last couple of weeks of lays winning have been an aberration.
However I have had a rather unpleasant run with getting horses up winning at decent odds with just one selection in a race. Personally I often successfully back two or three horses the win at very generous odds to beat the favourite if I think it is very poor value.
Admin. have instructed me to make the free selections Friday which does make things difficult when trying to find some decent horses at long odds for Saturday's racing - apart from track changes and scratchings, prices vary so much.
Admin. have also told me I am to provide one selection, not two or three horses at big odds in a race to beat the favourite.
Lucky Lil.

Hi Lucky Lil,

Is it worth throwing in "on good track" or "better than dead track" or something to back up your selections? I think having to show up fridays with THE selections would be painful.

Regards,

That would help. I have to make my selections on a Friday from selected races. I can only provide one selection in a race, no track ratings and no suggestions about minimum odds. So I suggest users need to check to see that the horse will handle the track if there are changes from Friday to Saturday. Also scratchings can affect my selections. If I give a backmarker Friday and a leader is scratched it may wreck the backmarker's chances.
