This might be the most stupid message ever posted! A few years ago a friend received faxes from a guy in Queensland with recommended tips - the procedure was to place on your own bet and an equal bet for the person who gave the tip. I understand that it was completely legitimate. Now, does this really exist, or am I naive and conned? I love to have a bet but literally know ************ all so don't want to waste even the small bets I would place!

Sorry, one thing I meant to say .... I know about the ******** where numerous people are given different horses within the race so that the tipster cannot lose. In this case, the tips were good and the rate of winning was very high.

Say you bet $100 and $100 for the con artist - that means your real turnover is $200 each bet, but as only $100 is credited to you, you have to make 100% on turnover on your own $100 bet just to break even. It's a ********. You'd have to be a fool to fall for it. [ This Message was edited by: Mr. Logic on 2002-05-22 00:32 ] |
