Some very ordinary meetings and very ordinary horses today, but I do like this one. Its previous runs have been in far more challenging company.
Strathalbyn Race 6 1200m Class 4 NO.1 SMILINGLY

Onebet,
I don't bet Sundays but I did see this race. Did you? The winner (Shocks) was at least 8 lengths better than the field, only got out with about 150m to go to rattle home. Could be one to look for in a city race. Placegetter |

Placegetter,
I didn't see the race but I listened to the radio call. By the sound of it, Shocks was absolutely nowhere but unleashed a really powerful sprint to the line, coming home like an express train. The one I backed, Smilingly, started out like an express train but I think it stopped one station too early!! Shocks could well be worth following.

I don't know if anyone can get hold of the sectionals for the race but it looked really freaky. It's hard to pass judgement because I know little about the competition. Smilingly was ridden hard early for sure.
Good luck in the future. |
