Default Stock Tips - SHARE your thoughts

Not a trader myself, but I was wondering if there was any interest in the stock market out there? If so lets discuss, analyse and give tips in here. Something a bit different from the everyday sportsbetting, but I spose its a form of gambling

I'm a youngin so not too aware of whats going on in the market but isn't it going through a rough patch at the moment?
I've been thinking about putting about 5k in bluechips, but not sure if its the way to go, or how to go about it, or when to do it.

Any advice would be great

well bluechips are a safe option because all the superannuation companies over the country hold them

Talking

I had a friend at school whose father got him some Woodside Petroleum shares at $3.90 in 1981,the ******** fell out of them and they went down to 79c
I dont know when he got out but they are now around $25.00
So i suppose it pays to be patient.Like sometimes its probably better to bet on individual games instead of having a multi.
cheers

Default Stock Tips -- Share your thoughts

I used to trade full time on the stock market but got out when superannuation became compulsory as the Funds were generating that much cash and investing in the market that all the usual indicators became unreliable. Unless you want to punt in the cheapies (and the liquidity of those makes that difficult) you are far better off on the AXS indexes such as the All Ords.

I am now a full time trader on the Gallops and Trots and on some nights the dogs using the same technique for each. Strictly number crunching. I have recently turned my mathematical skills to Tennis and American Basketball which are just so easy. I am pleased I am not involved with the stock market any more as I have much more control over what I am now doing and making a hell of a lot more dollars.
