You can lay a horse anywhere in the world except New Zealand where the preference is given to sheep.

Hi Bobby, It's not just about laying which horse will lose, there is a lot more to it. Crucial is the price at which you can lay the horse. If you lay horses willy nilly at any old price, you'll end up just as badly as punting on them. I would suggest you look at some previous postings on this forum from Mark. Also you might like to scan some U.K. horseracing forums and just read some threads on Betfair and laying. It's getting harder and harder to eek out a profit, as punters get smarter and automated betting bots manipulate prices. Having said that, of course it can be done, but you can't just jump in without some thorough research. Best of luck.

Some very smart operators on Betfair. Often a seemingly 'too generous' price being offered in comparison to bookies/tote is on the ball. That includes place divis.
