Flemington racecourse has to be the most biased course when wet (even the slightest drop of rain)...who agrees? Prince Benbara should have at least ran a place on saturday.

In this week's Punt to Win we will have a feature comment about Flemington. Should be online by late tomorrow.

Inner goat track called Kensington is the worst I have ever seen in a major city. Absolute disgrace.

I'd rather bet on a race at Nowra than Kensington.

Due to TAB'S lack of thought towards its own punters - I recently closed my betting a/c with them - I will never bet thru the NSW TAB again. They treat their customers with absolute distain. Closing branches and forcing people to bet thru the Internet or over the phone, yet they charge an admin fee to open an account and you have to fill out nonsense forms to open an account, plus their divs are crap.

No wonder more punters are looking towards Darwin and Alice Spring to place bets - better prices, good form, less bull********.

I agree chief,
However, one thing the NSWTAB has over S-TAB is that their minimum dividend is $1.04, S-TAB minimum dividend is only $1.00...Huge difference to place bettors in the longrun.
S-TAB has been getting away with this for far too long!
S-TAB's customer service is extremely good though.

By 2004 either S-TAB or NSWTAB will own QTAB it is a matter of time before we see who will be successful. I just wish there was a National pool. Much greater value for punters and a much better guide to actual starting prices, after all when you bet on Country races the pool is no guide except within 15 minutes to jump, even then most betting activity is within the last 5 minutes to the jump.

The fluctuations in dividends are most frustrating.

That is why most of my bets are with the bookies.

Chief - I don't live in NSW so can't comment on NSWTAB's branch service but I opened an account with them last year and the forms were the same as the ones for the other TAB's - the worst one was the Cash Transaction Reporting stuff but that is a government form - not the TABs fault! Also there was no fee involved - maybe you are thinking of the credit card deposit fee? Customer service over the phone/internet has been OK - last statement request was sent to me in about 5 minutes and they always process withdrawals same day. Biggest gripe is their Internet site - they seem to have problems with the updating some days and the expert betting mode is nowhere near as good as Ozbets (WA TAB).

EI - hope we never get a National pool! I get better value with the three pools by simply betting with the one that is showing best div at start time. Also if one TAB was successful in gaining control of the other two then you can be sure that the TAB take will be slowly increased over time until they are grabbing 20% of the win/place pool.
