Just out of interest, does anyone know what went on here? The trainer of the eventual winner had also entered a couple of maidens in the event, apparently just to ensure it went ahead (according to the radio previews). Both the maidens were scratched before the race, leaving a field of four to run. Did he forget to put them in the float or something?
