Fastest heat winner Fleeting Angel ridden by the pontiff. The 4YO mare hasn't started since Feb. Ran 3rd in the Raconteur Stakes in Dec behind Secret Monarch and Homme. Scenic Assault was runner-up same heat, which was good to see. Scenic Assault pulled up lame last race start Grandstand Cup early Jul.
Carrallen Storm looked good taking out her heat. The mare hasn't started since April when she ran 2nd behind Gimme The News in the Albany Cup. Looks set for another solid first-up effort.

Race 6 sees yet another former Victorian Criminal Intent. Failed first-up in WA but will be improved by that run. Same race sees the WA debut for Tiger Moon. The former NSW galloper hasn’t won for a while but was runner-up in a recent Belmont barrier trial.

Fastest trial winner of the day was the maiden 3YO Vodka Lime. The son of Carry A Smile streeted his rivals to win by 6lens easing down. Just the one official race start, the W.A. Sires' Produce Stakes earlier this year, where he was well beaten.
The main open class trial was taken out by Silver Seam ridden by the pontiff. Beauzilla ran a close 2nd. Silver Seam played up badly at the barrier last race start and the trainer was advised to take steps to rectify the mare's barriers manners, hence the barrier trial on Monday.

Same race former South Aussie mare Zoltan lines up for her 3rd start in WA & did show improvement at her most recent start to be beaten only 2.25lens in a C2 this track last week.
Race 5 former Sydneysider Great Desert should now have fitness on his side following 3 unimpressive starts in WA.

The engagement of the pontiff to ride Greta Bridge (R1) looks a significant pointer to the filly's chances. Harvey rode the filly when she was unplaced in a recent barrier trial but he has stuck with her. Greta Bridge's prior 3 runs in the city (before spelling) were all ok and were against good opposition.
The Poacher (R2) should be ready to run a big race at his 3rd start back. Nice run last start after missing the start and will be suited by the extra 200m today.
Morag (R6) is back to her right class today after 2 nice runs in higher classes, races well Northam.

Vodka Lime listed to line-up in race 2 tomorrow Belmont.

Track was slow so not sure how the form will line up later.
Equal fastest heats run by Beat The Storm (heat 4) and Luskin Dancer (heat 6).
Luskin Dancer yet to face the starter on race day has had 1/2 dozen trials to-date, this being her best result.
Beat The Storm last raced Nov 05 where he finished 4th in a 1400M event at Ascot behind the likes of Scenic Shot, Hi On Love and Cape North. Only 2 starts prior was unplaced Belmont and runner-up mdn at Bunbury.

Chenille Prince beat a lot these home in the Coolgardie Cup but does now give weight to the runner-up, Master Vision.
Those that were not in that race Black Tom - down in weight on last start solid effort Belmont Park Cup, Scenic Assault - scratched from the Farnley Stakes Sat recovering from injury, the lightly raced Halo Pass who won a bundle for his followers winning at Belmont late Aug and Lady Noire who does look out of her depth in this.

Halo Pass an unlikely starter. Moodometer drawn to improve.

I'll give it a whirl
R1: Hennessey Gold (value) - Stormy Kingdom - Mythalo
R3: Sir Viv - Jungle Toy
R4: San Simeon - Bundy Jack - Interange
R5: Blevvo - Intowishin. Can't easily split them. Confident quinella <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START >D --><IMG alt=" >D" src="http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/grin.gif"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END-->
R6: City Of Ruins - Drifter - Field Commander
R7: Seafarer - Scenic Vision - Storm Closure
R8: ******** of a race. Hand Cuffed - Rossam - Contentious Miss
<!--EZCODE BOLD START-->Best:<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->
Hennessey Gold (Value) - drop back to 1000m suits, small weight turnaround on CJ and SK for their last 1000m meeting, will jump to the lead. Just think the old boy is gunna be overs.
Going to take a few trifecta's today - have an interest punt http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/wink.gif<!--EZCODE EMOTICON END-->

Hi spinoff69, Good to see San Simeon quickly back in the winners circle after a very good campaign up in Broome!
G'day mate.
For sure. Was great to see him win that easily. Nice price as well with the backing for Storm On By. Nice win.
Haven't been too bad today out west.
Big race next - how will Seafarer go. It's definitely short enough.
Hope you guys had/are having a good day :)

Agree. Although the setback of last week's late scratching combined with the biggish impost does concern me. Will be interest what odds they put up about him.

If Fimmo’s Crown starts big turnaround on plans to spell so must be worth a punt especially if you lost on him last start when no luck at all ;)
