Geez! Doesn't Miss Andretti look well placed in the penultimate at Belmont on Saturday. This bay filly's unlucky not to be unbeaten. 4 wins from 5 races and beaten a nose in her only defeat

Geez! :) Miss Andretti scratched at the barrier :(

Ordered to trial or jump out to the satisfaction of stewards before racing again
….and obviously took no harm from the back-flip, contesting and winning a trial yesterday at Lark Hill :)

COLOURFUL and TURNBUCKLE look set to quinella in the first at Kal.
COLOURFUL was extremely unlucky last start and will today sport silks with the addition of blinkers. Former eastern states campaigner TURNBUCKLE with the addition of blinkers last start covered a bit of extra ground when a close 2nd behind multiple city placegetter Lady Noire. This fellow has also been placed at Doomben and Eagle Farm.

Promising mare Avenida Madero is about to return to racing following a well deserved spell. The daughter of Metal Storm had always showed ability but it wasn’t until her last campaign that we saw the true AM stringing together 6 wins from 7 race starts. Hopefully more wins are around the corner.

Initial thought race 6 Northam tomorrow saw the topweight and likely hot favourite Lionel Park as a special. Looking further at the field I see lots of pace with LP drawn wide so start to doubt that initial thought. Then look for horses suited by a fast pace and with some ability and come up cold. SO back to that initial thought

Looking at the 2yo races today THE DEN put up a nice run on his debut and will be suited by the drop in distance; HI ON LOVE was a nice trial winner over this distance at Belmont recently; so too was REGAL RICH (Harvey) over the 900M at Lark Hill and ARGYLE MYSTERY has showed improvement this prep

Blinkers come off DANGER MAN who can improve on his first prep; blinkers go on for MADE BY MAGIC who has good trial form; PRETORIA (Harvey) was a strong 2nd in a 900M trial at Lark Hill recently; TAKEOVER QUEEN unbeaten in 2 trial starts although both over 400M and definite room for improvement with BLETCHLEY LADY who had support at only race start following a trial win over 1000M at Belmont

(6) TAMOSHI showed a return to form last start (with blinkers added) and should be good EW odds in the 2nd at Kalgoorlie today. Has had 5 starts following a long spell so should be right fitness wise, meets My Pass better at the weights and the small field should suit. Main danger (4) AIKO and would also include (multiples) (3) MY PASS and (2) STAR OF TELESTO.

i know many on the forum consider that barriers make no difference.
in my opinion and stress my opinion wild target was beaten yesterday by the barrier. in a small field the front runner beyond dispute claimed the inside and hartleys dream who also drew inside wild target was the challenger.

barrier 7 although not considered to be a wide barrier was too wide in this case.

Agree Wild Target should have won topys99, I had it rated a clear top pick. Just a bit too much ground to make up on the other two over the last 50. Also had a saver on Beyond Dispute (which I rated 3rd just behind the eventual winner). Did managed the multiples but much better result had either Wild Target or Beyond Dispute won.

Former NSW country galloper Joe’s Solution made an impressive debut in WA with a strong 2nd when first up over the 1200 at Belmont just over a week ago. G’day Desi :) surprised (or possibly will be embarrassed after the race LOL) that you’ve not mentioned Belarus in your first race wrap-up. Small field should be a plus, crying out for some distance and will be suited by a fast pace if it turns out as you’ve predicted.

Well there you go, we'll never know  Belarus injured on the way to the barrier and understand received a severe cut to the right shoulder which will sideline the 3yo colt for some time :(

Had me almost ready to go put a bit on Belarus DCFC that’s until I saw your (footy) tip next post which proves you have no idea what you’re talking about lol!! :)

Just the one starter in the end River Rough - 100% post strike rate suggests I have some idea  (now and again!) :)

PS How about a few extra smilies management, like  and  for eg.?

Lining up today for his 8th win on the trot (if you count his trial win) !!

All the best to his connections!

Thought Covertly was very disappointing in the 5th at Belmont today.
Perhaps the addition of blinkers had a negative impact!?
Conversely was impressed with the return to racing (last raced Mar 03) of the top weight same race Storm Shot.

…thought yesterday’s quaddie was one of the easiest to snag for some time…only worry was Covertly winning the first leg which would have meant a potentially low return…didn’t happen :) although I had to settle for a reduced divi in the end anyway…with my top selection Stratham Streaker dead-heating with Sunrise Soaring :( …..still $565.10 was a great return imo :D

Looking at those trial results shaun1993 was surprised to see that Changing Lanes only ran the 2nd fastest time of the day for the 900 metres

The best time of the day was run by an unraced 3YO filly called Orpenchic who obviously (by the winning margin) won her trial easily

Only other start she ran last in a trial at Bunbury in Feb

May be worth following at her first few race starts at the least

My apology for posting on the ‘death’ for some reason I’m having problems (very slow response sometimes) accessing this site

Not having problems accessing any other sites ??

FYI included Pinch Of Spice as only finished 1.5 lens behind Maverick’s Honour last time they met (1400) and would be fitter for that run and previous form suggested would appreciate the extra distance of today’s race

..no worries westi and nice saver $16.20 / $5.40..logic for inclusion sound.. I often look at the past performances of horses lining up against a hot favourite today where they have previously competed against the same horse..looking at your logic and considering the win div for Maverick's Honour was $1.60..Pinch Of Spice at $16.20 was well worth a saver

If you forget Call Me Henry’s last 2 starts (both on firm surfaces and over 1400) you would have to give him an excellent chance in the Birthday given likely slow track and the step back in distance. Legend Express has a great strike rate, looks nicely weighted and is unbeaten in the slow. Strong win by Stir Pak first-up beating last week’s sprint winner Gobiton and goes OK in the wet. Field Commander should now be race fit and also OK the wet. Intowishin goes well fresh and in the slow and might be value EW.
